Brief Biography

Stelios Karozis is a Research Fellow at the Environmental Research Laboratory of the

National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos,” specializing in the resilience

of critical infrastructure to climate change through advanced computational methods and artificial

intelligence.

He graduated from Leontios Lyceum in Nea Smyrni (2005) and continued his studies at the School of

Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (2005-2010). He received a master’s degree

in Computational Engineering (NTUA, 2011-2013) and a PhD in Molecular

Simulations in Nanocomposite Systems from the University of Crete (2013-2017). In addition,

he completed a master’s degree in Data Science at the University of the Peloponnese (2019-2021).

Research interests:

1. Development of new computational methodologies and integration of Artificial

Intelligence models for the prediction and production of data related to climate change

2. Assessment of the resilience and climate risk of critical infrastructure

3. Study of natural systems with computational tools and Artificial Intelligence
